Edward A. Itayim
About
I studied law at Thomas M. Cooley Law School. While at Thomas M. Cooley, I was involved in various organizations, including the Trial Advocacy Board, Appellate Advocacy Board, and Law Review. I also served as the Chairman of Michigan Youth in Government and as a tutor for law students in Civil Procedure, Criminal Procedure, and Torts. I graduated Cum Laude, at the top of my class, receiving the Leadership Achievement Award and the Moot Court Service Award. This time spent at law school is the foundation I have relied upon to provide superior counsel and representation for my clients.
My professional career has spanned various legal positions throughout Ohio. After graduating, I worked at the Office of the Ohio Attorney General, where I represented the state in complex civil cases. I later worked in the Washtenaw County Public Defender's Office, defending clients charged with felony offenses. I continue to represent clients against serious charges as a Columbus criminal defense attorney.
Since starting work with The Meranda Law Firm LTD, I have been able to dedicate my full attention to clients in every case I handle. Each of my clients can benefit from knowing that their attorney is 100% committed to helping them obtain a positive outcome to their case. As one of the attorneys included in the 2014-2015 lists of Ohio & Kentucky Super Lawyers® Rising Stars℠, I am confident that I can provide the service clients expect and need in the toughest situations.
Before beginning my career as an attorney, I proudly served my country in the United States Marine Corps. My time as a Marine taught me to understand and appreciate the freedom we have in this country. In serving as a lawyer, I aim to continue preserving this freedom with my life.
