I was born in Columbus, Ohio, and grew up in Licking County. I attended The Ohio State University where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. I went on to attend Capital University Law School where I received my Juris Doctor.
Prior to attending law school, I worked as a legal assistant at a private law firm and handled a wide variety of matters including probate and estate administration, civil litigation, and foreclosures. However, my passion always remained with criminal defense, and this is what ultimately led me to go to law school. During law school, I clerked at the Franklin County Public Defender where I gained vital experience necessary to the practice of criminal defense. I also interned at the Ohio Public Defender with the Wrongful Conviction Project where I fought daily for those who had been wronged by the criminal justice system. This experience strengthened my passion for criminal defense even more and instilled in me the great responsibility that comes along with being a criminal defense attorney.
Since joining The Meranda Law Firm, I have been able to vigorously advocate for each of my clients and fight to get the best possible outcome in every single case.
