Client was over at his girlfriend's house when he was attacked by his girlfriend's daughter and boyfriend. Attorney Meranda's client informed them that he was going to call the police on them; however they called the police first and informed them that attorney Meranda's client was trespassing and assaulted them. The police showed up and took everyone's statement, two against one tactic so the police arrested our client. After conducting a thorough investigation and interviewing the neighbors and landlord it was apparent who the true aggressor was in this incident. After this evidence was shown to the prosecutor the criminal trespass charge was dismissed and the assault was reduced to a disorderly conduct offense minor misdemeanor. The client received a minimum fine and court costs.
